Dear Sisters in Christ,

I pray this letter finds you well, wrapped in the comforting embrace of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Today, I want to share a story with you, one that celebrates life, faith, and the miraculous power of prayer. It's a tale that took place eighteen years ago on a fateful February 11th, a day etched in my memory as a testament to the unyielding grace of the Almighty.

In the heart of Southern California, my husband and I embarked on a journey to discover a new chapter in our lives. His company was relocating us to Bentonville, Arkansas, and we were filled with dreams and hopes for the future. Our little family consisted of two precious boys, Jordan and Nathan, aged three and two, respectively.

As we navigated a busy California freeway, life took an abrupt turn. In an instant, we found ourselves staring at a stationary car ahead, its brake lights ominously absent. In that fraction of a second, our world collided with destiny, and our car, mangled and crushed, was no longer the vehicle of our dreams.

The impact was violent, and I vividly recall closing my eyes as the collision jolted us. The next moments were a blur, marked by the agonizing pain of a broken collarbone, a punctured lung, a bruised heart, and various other injuries. My husband, Justin, and I found ourselves in an emergency room, separated only by a curtain, but united in our faith and love.

Through the haze of pain and the comforting embrace of morphine, I realized the power of prayer. Two dear friends from our church joined us, laying hands on us and offering heartfelt blessings. My parents were informed, and prayer chains formed across states, uniting friends, family, and fellow believers in a chorus of supplication.

As I lay in that hospital room, I marveled at the countless prayers being lifted on our behalf. I knew that God loved us, and while we had to endure this trial, we were not alone. The walls of that hospital room bore witness to the mighty force of prayer, and it filled my heart with humility and gratitude.

Miracles unfolded before our eyes. Our car's engine was destroyed, but the passenger area remained untouched. Our children were mercifully not traveling with us when the accident occurred. No other cars collided with us after the initial impact, a testament to the protection we had prayed for.

Even when the EKG hinted at potential heart issues, the blessings of God's healing touch prevailed. I was a walking miracle, and I understood that God's miracles are not devoid of struggle and suffering. They are often entwined with life's lessons.

One of the greatest lessons I learned was the importance of submitting to God's will. As my collapsed lung challenged the doctors, my faith and humility grew. I sang the words of a hymn, "In perfect faith I too believe in things I cannot see." I surrendered to God's plan, and His peace washed over me.

By God's grace, my lung eventually remained inflated, and I returned home, my heart brimming with gratitude for the lessons and blessings of those challenging days.

Now, as I reflect on that car accident, I do so with deep gratitude for the gift of life and the unwavering presence of God. Over the past eighteen years, I've journeyed through laughter, tears, and tremendous growth, hand in hand with our loving Father.

I want to encourage you, dear sisters, to ponder the moments when you've felt God's hand in your life. Remember that even in the face of trials, your faith can shine as a beacon of hope and strength. The power of prayer is a mighty tool, and the Lord is with us every step of the way.
