Summary

Have you ever asked yourself, why am I always under spiritual attack? When you are trying your absolute hardest to live right, yet a heavy, dark cloud of friction refuses to leave your family alone, it is so easy to feel like a failure. But what if your constant battles are actually proof of your divine potential?

In this episode of the Arise Women of God podcast, host Tamara K. Anderson is joined by women's ministry leader Amy Johnson to shift your perspective on spiritual warfare. Together, they explain why you are such a high-value target for the adversary. Using the story of David and King Saul, you will discover that the enemy throws javelins at you not because you are doing something wrong, but because of the "royal anointing" on your head!

We also discuss the harsh realities of living in a fallen, mortal world where the adversary operates. Amy shares why distancing ourselves from God means rejecting His help in the fight. Tamara reveals how relying on Jesus Christ and calling upon angels carried her through raising special needs children and helping teens battle depression. Tune in to learn why God trusted you enough to place you on the earth right now, and how to actively evict the enemy from your home today!

Episode Takeaways

  • The Royal Anointing (1 Peter 4:12): Do not think the fiery trial is strange! Like David fleeing from Saul's javelins, the enemy targets you because he sees the queenly, royal potential inside you and your family—not because you are missing the mark.
  • The Ground Rules of a Fallen World: We live in a mortal, fallen world where Satan's domain currently resides. Spiritual opposition is a guaranteed part of mortality, and we only survive it through the grace of God.
  • Divine Timing: You were not dropped onto this battlefield by accident. God sent you to earth right before the Second Coming because He trusts your strength and capacity to navigate these specific times.
  • Activate Your Covenant Backup: You do not have to fight alone. By relying on Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:13), inviting angels, and audibly casting out the adversary, you can replace your exhaustion with divine power.

Reflection Questions

  • When facing heavy friction in your home, do you tend to view it as proof that you are failing, or as proof of your "royal anointing"?
  • How does remembering that we live in a fallen, mortal world change your expectations regarding daily spiritual opposition?
  • Look at the battles you have already survived. How can you use your own "battle-tested wisdom" to help your children or friends today?

Well, you are in the right place and by the end of today's episode, you will understand why you're such a high value target, how to thrive in a fallen world, and how to claim the ultimate authority of Jesus Christ over your home so you can cast out that darkness. Stay tuned. Ordinary women Extraordinary faith When God calls, we say yes. Hello and welcome back to the Arise Women of God podcast.

I'm your host, Tamara K. Anderson, and I am so thankful to be joined today by Amy Johnson. Amy is a powerhouse and a women's ministry leader, a mom and a grandma who is a whirlwind of warmth, love, laughter and infectious energy.

But what I love most about Amy is her battle tested wisdom. And that is going to be key today as we talk about why we feel like we are always under attack and why the adversaries is so relentless.

Here's our roadmap for today's episode. First, we're going to talk about the royal anointing, why your attack is proof of your divine status and identity.

Second, the ground rules of a fallen world, where we're going to share why mortality naturally guarantees spiritual opposition.

And finally, we're going to talk about the modern warriors toolkit and how to step out of your exhaustive state and activate your true covenant backup. But first, let's start with a perspective shift. If you are under the fire, you need to change how you look at the flames.

In First Peter, Chapter 4, Verse 12, we read, Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial, which is to try you as though some strange thing had happened to you. We think it's strange. We assume the attack means that we're missing the mark somehow. But think about David in the Old Testament.

The moment he was anointed by the prophet Samuel to become the next king of Israel, his life shifted into a constant zone of terrifying danger.

King Saul became so consumed with jealousy that he repeatedly threw javelins at David while he was just trying to play music, forcing him to spend years of his life just running and getting away from Saul in the wilderness. David wasn't under attack because he was doing something wrong. He was targeted because of the royal anointing on his head.

The enemy throws javelins at you because he sees the queenly potential inside you and the royal potential of your family members. But my friends, there's also a physical reality to the battle that we face simply by being here on Earth, which Amy is now going to explain.

Please never forget we live in a fallen world. Please never, never forget that we are mortal. So we do the very best we can with the things that we've been given and the things that we have.

And we are under attack all the time because this world is dark, it's fallen. And so it allows for the adversary to. Not to mention the fact that the adversary was cast here, he was sent here, this is his domain, so to speak.

But it allows for, because we are so far from the light of Christ and God. It's darkness all the time.

And the really important thing that I've learned, and really, I maybe have been learning this for a long time, but it really has hit home this year, is that every time we think we're not under spiritual attack and we think, oh, we're doing good is only through the grace of God. Without Him, I do not stand. Without Him, I do not breathe. Job is a really good example of this. This world is just fallen.

It's designed to beat us up and put us under spiritual attack all the time. And that means that if I choose to distance myself from God, I choose to not accept his help in the fight. And so you're mortal.

Of course you're going to be under spiritual attack all the time. You're mortal. And I think we forget that.

Amy is so right. We are mortal and we live in this fallen world. And the adversary was cast down to this earth.

But remember this, you were not dropped onto this battlefield by accident. Think about the divine timing of your life. Why did God send you to Earth right now, right before the second coming of Jesus Christ?

It's because you're amazing, powerful and divine. God trusted you to face these specific times.

What challenges have you already crawled through that you can use to help other mothers or children with right now? What tips and tricks can you teach from your own wealth of personal knowledge?

I have learned in my own furnace of afflictions that Philippians chapter 4, verse 13 is true. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

God stood right by me as I was raising special needs children as well as helping my teens as they battled heavy depression and crippling anxiety. He has physically held me up and kept me going step by step. When I felt too exhausted to go on through the fire.

I learned the tactical power of Jesus Christ and He taught me the amazing strength that comes when we invite angels in to help us and our loved ones when they are struggling. He also taught me the power of casting out the adversary and bringing in his light to replace those crippling dark feelings.

I am a warrior of light and I know you are too.

If you are ready to stop playing defense and start actively evicting the enemy from your household, I want to put a powerful tool and weapon into your hands.

We have created a free digital resource called A Mother's Spiritual Defense Guide six Empowering Steps to Fortify Home and Family that we want to give to you right now for free and it's in the link below.

You, my friend, don't have to tolerate the javelins anymore. You are a mama warrior of light. Stay true and next to the Savior.
