Takeaways
- Experiencing a feeling of being stuck can often be perceived as a divine invitation for realignment with God's will, emphasizing the importance of spiritual introspection during these challenging times.
- The cocoon stage, although fraught with discomfort, serves as a critical phase of transformation, akin to a caterpillar's metamorphosis into a butterfly, illustrating that profound changes often occur in the unseen depths of our existence.
- Just as a seed quivers before it sprouts, our moments of unease can herald significant growth; embracing this discomfort can lead to our most beautiful transformations, if only we allow ourselves to trust the process.
- In moments of stillness and uncertainty, we are invited to surrender control, cultivating patience and faith in God's timing, which reminds us that divine movements may occur even amidst apparent stagnation.

Hello and welcome to another episode of. The Arise Women of God podcast. I'm your host, Tamara K. Anderson. And ladies, today we're talking all about. The pause, and sometimes that is hard.
Because it's not where we want to be. We want to be moving forward, but we're going to share three profound insights. Into this period of waiting. First, we'll reveal why feeling stuck is. Often a divine intervention and a realignment to God's will.
We don't see it that way, but it is sometimes.
Second, you'll hear powerful spiritual analogy that proves that your next most beautiful form is quietly forming in the darkness. We'll talk about this as the cocoon stage. Not fun, but finally you'll learn the. Crucial lesson of a seed that must quiver before it sprouts. So let's kick it off with the divine intervention.
Here, my co founder, Wendy Christensen, who. Is a wonderful licensed clinical social worker, shares how using AI and Chat GPT helped her figure out some of the meaning of stuckness.
And the answer is pure inspiration. So listen to perhaps why God has slowed you down and see if you can glean anything from this.
Wendi Christensen
00:03:17.340 - 00:04:31.890
And it was interesting because it says it's Often a divine invitation. Spiritually speaking, stuckness serves a sacred purpose. It slows you down so that you can feel stuck, see, realign with what truly matters.
So it gives five things a sacred pause for awareness. Maybe you've been on autopilot and there's something in here to see, so it helps you to go, wait a minute, maybe you're avoiding something.
It's an invitation to heal. Maybe there's an unhealed part of us that can't move forward yet. And so we've got some unprocessed emotions or limiting beliefs. So it gives us to be.
It gives a chance to bring those buried parts to the surface to receive light and love. It's a realignment and divine will. Sometimes it means the direction you were going no longer matches where your soul or God is guiding you.
So that friction, confusion, delay can be a form of divine redirection. It's the spirit's gentle way of saying, you've gone as far as this path can take you.
It's time to listen for a new one, for a lesson in trust and surrender. When we can't force progress, we are invited to surrender. Stuckness teaches humility and faith to trust in timing rather than control outcomes.
It refines us in patience, reminding us that divine movement happens even when nothing seems to be moving on the surface.

That was beautiful.
All right, let's go on to the next one, the cocoon stage, which, I know it doesn't sound pretty, I don't know about you, but the transformation from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly doesn't sound very fun because their body literally has to break down and rebuild something new. And so here in this second tip.
Wendy shares a deeply comforting analogy that redefines this period of darkness and quietness as perhaps a non negotiable stage of transformation. And it's a good way to see it in your mind. Take a listen.
Wendi Christensen
00:05:13.640 - 00:05:30.170
It's a gateway to transformation. The stuck phase often comes right before spiritual breakthrough.
Just as a seed must be buried before it blooms, stuckness is the cocoon stage, a sacred stillness before transformation. It's in this darkness that your next form is quietly forming.

00:05:30.410 - 00:06:04.870
I love that visual imagery that she shared with us there. All right, we're on to the third segment, which is be okay with the quiver. Here, our advisory board member, Jerusha Smith.
Shares a beautiful analogy from nature, and. It'S about a seed being planted. And I don't know about you, but I sometimes have felt like a seed. Being planted in the dark.
It's Wet, I'm cold. I feel like God's bounded me. And all of a sudden, growth happens. So let's take a listen to what Jerusha shares with us here.
Jerusha Smith
00:06:05.430 - 00:06:31.290
Be okay with the quiver. When seeds are planted, they get all comfy in the soil and they just have to sit there.
But right before they send out the sprout, they actually quiver, and there's this moment of discomfort. That's when they're going to sprout, and that's when their life really starts.
Tamara K. Anderson
00:06:31.930 - 00:09:03.870
I didn't know that. And I'm a gardener. I should know that, right? That's beautiful, Drisha. I love that. It's a great parallel. So many things. We can look to nature and go.
Ah, I feel like that little seed there, I'm buried right now. I don't know what's going to emerge. All right, ladies, we have learned three beautiful principles here.
The principle of divine invitation, the cocoon stage, and then the quiver stage.
And I think the biggest application here is that we can surrender and observe God's hand and how he's changing us from where we were to where he knows we can become, who he knows we can become. He's changing everything up a little bit. And so if you're in the cocoon phase, stop forcing forward momentum.
Instead, perhaps, ask God what He wants you to learn while you're being still.
He's changing you in your mind, in your heart, and you can rest in the knowledge that your next most beautiful form is quietly changing in the darkness. Oh. Now that we know how to embrace the stillness, the next video I would recommend to you is Pause for Peace.
Shod your feet with Jesus. This will help you in your battles against the adversary.
Because often when we start moving forward after change with Jesus, the adversary wants to stop us. So take a listen to that. It's in the link below. Also, we have a free Clarifying My.
Calling workbook that you can find on our Women warriors of Light website, and it's available in the description below as well. And this will help you identify how God is guiding you on a new path. So check that out there.
And before you go, just remember that whether you feel stuck, whether you feel buried, whether you feel like you are not moving, you're not alone there. God is with you in this moment of stillness. He's with you in the pause. He hasn't forgotten you. He has not abandoned you.
He has graven you upon the palms of his hands. He knows where you are. He knows how you're feeling. And he is going to help you through this. So don't give up on Him. He surely hasn't given up on you.
