Summary

Have you ever felt like your voice is just one in a billion, lost in the noise of everyone else’s needs? If you have ever looked up to Heaven and asked, “Does God hear my prayers?”, you are in the right place. In this episode of the Arise, Women of God podcast, host Tamara K. Anderson and guest Tiffany Fletcher tackle the painful feeling of spiritual invisibility. We explore the "Joseph Pivot," discovering how to personalize God's presence in your own life and remember that He is with you even in the deepest pits.

Tamara shares her insightful "Mallard Duck Epiphany," explaining why a "no" or a season of silence from Heaven is often a protective measure against dangers we cannot yet see. We also dive into how God uses our hardest moments—including severe childhood trauma—to build resilience and eventually lead others into the light. If you are struggling to get a clear answer, we share practical prayer hacks, including how to ask God what questions you should be asking and how to clear spiritual interference. Tune in to move from feeling like your prayers are hitting the ceiling to confidently holding His hand!

Episode Takeaways

  • Personalize His Presence: Apply the "Joseph Pivot" by inserting your own name into scriptures. Just as the Lord was with Joseph in the pit, He is with you in yours!
  • God's "No" is Often Protective: Just like shooing ducks away from a hidden danger, God's silence or denial is often Him protecting you from bad timing or things you cannot see yet.
  • He Uses the Pit for Good: Your hardest trials and darkest moments are never wasted. God will use your survival and resilience to bless your life and ultimately help others.
  • Hack Your Prayers: If you feel stuck, ask God what questions you should be asking. If you are receiving conflicting answers, cast out the adversary to clear the static.

The Arise Women of God Podcast hello, and welcome to another episode of the Arise Women of God podcast. I'm your host, Tamara K. Andersen. And joining me today is the amazing Tiffany Fletcher, a member of our Women warriors of Light Advisory board.

And today we're diving into the topic of divine attention. First, Tiffany is going to share a personal, powerful realization she had after studying the life of Joseph of Egypt.

Second, I'll share my mallard duck epiphany that I had in my very own backyard that explains why no is perhaps one of the most loving answers God can give. Third, Tiffany is then going to share the beauty of the pit, how her own childhood trauma became a tool to lead others into the light.

And finally, we'll talk about a specific prayer hack, how to ask the right questions to get the answers you actually need. But first, we're going to have Tiffany share this beautiful, powerful experience she had while diving into the story of Joseph.

We've all had experiences like this where we question whether or not God is actually listening to our prayers and answering. And.

And I think that, I mean, those are very valid concerns, especially when we feel that we're suffering or struggling and we just feel God may not be listening to those prayers. But I recently actually have experienced that feeling.

And I was reading about Joseph and I was reading about how his brothers cast him into the pit, and then he was sold into Egypt, and then he was in Potiphar's house and he was accused of bad deeds in, in Potiphar's house and he was put in prison and all of these things happened. But it. Yet it, it continued to say, and the Lord was with Joseph.

And as I was reading that, I was praying Heavenly Father, and I was like, heavenly Father, Are you with me? And he. I felt. I felt his spirit say, I want you to read that differently. And the Lord was with Tiffany. I want you to remember that.

And I feel like that's so important to remember that the Lord is with each of us. That even if it seems like we are being accused of something unfairly, even as.

Even if we're being like we've been thrown into a pit and no one is there, God is with us. That's the promise. That's the promise. We are his children and he has never, ever left us. He is there. He is listening.

God is with you. But sometimes when we are in that pit, it feels so hard to feel that connection. We start to wonder if the silence means God has ignored our plea.

Sometimes the silence, though, isn't a lack of hearing. It's a high level view of danger that we just can't see yet.

We had a pair of mallard ducks in our backyard earlier this week, and they were really checking out the backyard, like to find a nesting spot. And usually I would be totally fine with it. I'd be like, yes, please come nest in my backyard.

You know, we love to have little ducklings hatching in our yard and stuff like that. But we happened to be watching a neighbor's dog starting this weekend.

And I just knew with that coming up, I'm like, you should not nest in my yard right now. Come back in a week and a half. You can nest in my yard just fine. But it was interesting to look at it from the perspective of that.

So I kind of walked outside and I just wandered around the yard and they flew away. Just kind of gently encouraging them to move off. The answer's not now.

And I thought of that in regards to these podcasts that we've been doing about speaking to God and hearing his answers. And it just was so apparent that I knew something these ducks didn't. There is danger that will be coming into my backyard.

This is not a safe place for you. So sometimes God's like saying, no, not right now. The answers wait, you're bad timing right now. I see something you don't see, so trust me on this.

But it was just such an epiphany as I was going through that experience, going, oh, yeah, there's times when I've been banging on the windows of heaven saying, are you hearing me up there? And I'm sure he's up there going, yes, Tamara, but you're just going to have to wait for a little bit for an answer. I see something you don't see.

Do you know what I mean? And it's hard when that's the answer. We feel like he's not listening, but. We just want to nest right here, right?

It would be so easy. It's a safe place, you know, And God's like, nope, not right now. Anyway.

It was, it was an interesting perspective shift for me to kind of look at God a little differently as far as prayers go.

I knew something those ducks didn't. And God knows something we don't.

Tiffany has seen this long game play play out in her own life, taking the hardest parts of her childhood and weaving them into a mission of resilience.

Tiffany Fletcher

I think about when I was a child, I grew up with a mom who had multiple personalities and, and one was very violent. It was very hard situation, very. It was, it was a struggle.

Yet I wrote, when I wrote my book about it, I have had so many people talk about how it's blessed their lives. But in that time I remember praying and being like, God, please just take me out of this, right? Please help me, take me out of this. And he didn't.

He kept me there, of course, he protect me and he helped me feel his love while I moved through it. But it wasn't until years later when those experiences have really solidified my testimony in his love and in his grace and in his goodness.

And so that now I'm able to use that experience as a child to then help other people learn how to come out of darkness and to find light and to be resilient in their lives. And I wouldn't be, I wouldn't know how to do that if I hadn't experienced those hard things as a child. And so I.

It's so important for us to understand that everything that happens to us, whether it's bad or good, God can use it for our good. And he will use it to bless our lives. And some somewhere down the line, he will use it to bless someone else's life too.

And I just testify that that is true.

Isn't it great to know that God uses it all, the good times and the bad.

But if you're still sitting there feeling like you're not getting a clear signal, it might be time to change your frequency by changing your question.

Tiffany Fletcher

00:07:54.800 - 00:08:53.290

If, if you feel that God isn't speaking to you, maybe you're not asking the right questions. And so that's even something, you know, you could ask God, okay, what question should I be asking?

And he'll help you know what questions to ask to get the Answers that you need. And I heard recently specific answer, specific prayers. Get specific answers.

And so pray specifically for the things that you need and ask him to help you. And, and if you still feel like you're not getting answers, turn to the Scriptures. Ask God to answer you through the Scriptures.

Every time that I have done that, I've received an answer from Heavenly Father and, and at least direction on how to find more to how to find more answers. So that's an important, important piece that we can remember if we're not getting answers.

Our Scriptures are a wonderful ch treasure trove of answers to questions. So make sure that you you open them up often and read.

Another hack that I have learned on this road to getting answers to my prayers is if I feel like I'm getting conflicting answers to cast the adversary out in the name of Jesus, try to ground and center myself and then pray again. Because often the adversary is trying to distract us and we might get a yes and a no, but it's him interfering with the answer.

So cast him out, bring in light through the power of the Savior and then begin asking again. Those answers often come much more clearly.

So, my friends, God hears your prayers not because you are perfect, but because you are his and he loves you. Whether he's shooing you away from a hidden danger or preparing you in the prison for a future mission, he is listening to your every word.

If you want to move from wondering to walking with God daily, we have created a tool to help you. You can download our free Roadmap to Revelation 6 Steps to Hearing God in your daily life.

And we have an accompanying Receiving Light and Revelation audio meditation to help you clear the static from life and ground yourself in peace.

Before you begin a prayer that you really need an answer to in this roadmap, you will find step two particularly helpful where you ask God to teach you how he speaks to you and how you receive answers from Him. It's a powerful tip.

So, my friends, pray that you can recognize God in your daily walk today, that you can hear him speaking back to you and feel his love and peace in the sunrise, in a text from a friend, or perhaps in a moment of peace. And until next time, may you arise. Do it God's way. God strong.
